Counter families by opponent and strength
These entries come from the same versioned model used by the Quick Counter and individual counter pages. Open a setup for exact sliders, line instructions, risks and its evidence label.
Overview
Treat every answer as a response family, not a hard-coded engine counter. The current matrix above is generated from the same versioned recommendations used by the homepage tool and each detailed counter guide, so those surfaces cannot quietly drift apart.
The three strength bands are intentionally broad. If your teams are close, use Similar. If the likely starting elevens show a meaningful gap, choose Stronger or Weaker. Venue, fitness, suspensions, player positions and the match objective can justify a small movement inside the stated slider band; they do not justify changing every setting at once.
The matrix only includes opponent shapes for which OSMCoach currently has a complete recommendation record. Other formations remain research gaps rather than being filled with confident-looking guesses.
