How OSMCoach builds recommendations

OSMCoach is an independent player resource maintained under the OSMCoach name. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or given private engine access by Online Soccer Manager or Gamebasics. The site does not present a fictional editorial team or claim insider knowledge.

Confirmed means an official OSM source documents the mechanic. Supported means a recommendation is coherent with the formation and has practical community support, but the engine formula is not public. Experimental marks a plausible test with limited evidence. Unknown means the available material cannot support a reliable claim.

Confidence describes the support behind a starting point. It never guarantees the outcome of one match.

OSMCoach starts with a specific decision: opponent shape, squad-strength tier, venue or squad constraint. The formation, game plan, line instructions and slider ranges are checked as one system. Contradictory combinations are rejected. Recommendations are compared with official documentation where it exists and with labelled community observations where it does not.

Exact slider values are reference points inside a range. They are not presented as discovered coefficients or universal hard counters.

Substantive pages show a reviewed date and evidence level. A deployment alone does not change that date. It changes when the recommendation, evidence, structured data or other meaningful page content is reviewed or updated.

OSM databases and game behaviour can change. Readers should verify time-sensitive ratings, club objectives, market prices and formation availability in the current game.

The current tactic-feedback control stores private notes in the visitor’s browser. OSMCoach does not yet aggregate those reports on a server and does not display invented community win rates. Even a future sample would remain observational because squad quality, manager choices, venue and random match outcomes all confound the result.
