Training priorities
Training progression depends on age, rating, repeated same-day training, facilities, and events. Younger/lower-rated players generally progress more efficiently; repeated same-day training has diminishing returns.
Priority order:
- Young tactical stars who determine the strongest XI
- Immediate weak links in the starting XI
- Young liquid prospects with train-and-sell potential
- Veterans only when they remain decisive or an event changes the economics
Do not spend a valuable training slot on a resale prospect when the same session can materially improve a title-deciding starter.
Youth strategy
The source set found no persistent multi-season Youth Academy. Use this OSM-appropriate loop:
Recruit young → train → use Friendlies → keep elite prospects → sell surplus → reinvest.
Treat age 24 and below as the practical event-aware development pool when a Training Talents event uses that cutoff. Check the live event description each time.
Stadium order
| Club situation | First | Second | Third |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heavy trader / young squad | Training Ground | Pitch | Capacity |
| Weak underdog | Training Ground | Pitch | Capacity |
| Strong title contender | Pitch | Training Ground | Capacity |
| Long league, many home games left | Training Ground or Capacity | Pitch | Remaining branch |
| Late title race | Pitch | Training Ground | Capacity |
| Mostly neutral fixtures | Training Ground | Capacity | Pitch |
Default: Training Ground in the first third; Pitch when close matches matter; Capacity when income is the binding constraint. Exact Pitch performance percentages in community sources are not official engine formulas.
Savings and sponsorship
Moderator guidance in the reviewed sources says:
- Club Funds placed in Savings during match simulation receive 2% interest after the match.
- Interest is credited to Savings, not the normal balance.
- Sponsorship income is paid after home matches, not away matches.
Treasury rule:
Put genuinely idle Club Funds into Savings before match simulation, but retain enough accessible cash for a time-sensitive transfer or replacement.
